Wallpaper - It Cracked

Our It Cracked wallpaper brings an energetic, Memphis-inspired rhythm to the wall through an abstract mosaic of sharp geometric shapes. Irregular triangles and angular polygons outlined in warm orange sit against a vibrant sunflower yellow background, creating a playful, graphic surface with clear postmodern roots. The repeat builds a lively visual motion across larger spans, making this pattern an expressive focal point. Like all our wall murals, this design is custom made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure.

In the room

In residential spaces, we see this design working especially well in a playroom, a creative hobby room, or a dedicated games area where its graphic character sets a fun, dynamic tone. The angular geometry and high-contrast palette carry plenty of visual weight, which makes the wallpaper an excellent choice for a single accent wall behind an activity table, low shelving, or a workspace. Because the repeat relies on sharp lines and bold yellow planes, giving it an open, relatively uninterrupted wall allows the full mosaic rhythm to unfold without competing with tall storage units.

Styling it

To balance the strong geometric energy of this design, we suggest keeping the surrounding furniture clean and graphic. Modern pieces with tubular metal frames, matte black details, or crisp painted surfaces in solid white or charcoal sit comfortably against the angular shapes. If you want to lean further into its retro postmodern character, introduce playful accent shapes through rounded task lamps, simple cylindrical stools, or primary-colored accessories. Keeping large textiles quiet and solid prevents the room from feeling visually busy, allowing the wall mural to remain the focal point.

Colour combinations

The design is built around a vivid sunflower yellow ground contrasted with rich, darker orange line work. When considering colors for surrounding walls, woodwork, and cabinetry, a soft off-white or light cool grey creates a clean boundary that lets the yellow pop. For a more adventurous, high-contrast palette, accents of deep cobalt blue, dark charcoal, or rich terracotta create an exciting dialogue with the warm yellow and orange tones.
