Wallpaper - Crocker Parchment, Charcoal

Our Crocker Parchment Charcoal wallpaper brings together the soft, mottled texture of aged parchment with a subtle geometric grid of panel squares. Designed by Wallism Studio, the motif layers smoky charcoal, deep slate, and shadowed black tones to create depth across the wall without overwhelming the room with sharp contrast. The soft tonal shifts give the flat surface the visual character of stone tiles or parchment cladding. Like all our mural wallpapers, this design is made-to-measure to fit your exact wall dimensions, printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle paper structure.

In the room

We especially like this design in spaces where you want a grounded, moody atmosphere. In a living room or bedroom, Crocker Parchment Charcoal works beautifully behind a bed or low sofa, where the dark parchment tones provide a rich anchor for the rest of the furniture. Because the panel seams create a calm, repeating rhythm rather than an assertive pictorial scene, it also works well wrapped across multiple walls in a study or dining room. The smoky variations within the charcoal catch natural daylight gently, while warm evening lamps bring out the softer, cloudy undertones within each square.

Styling it

To balance the depth of the dark charcoal surface, we recommend working with natural contrasts and clean silhouettes. Warm wood furniture, such as medium-toned walnut or oak, brings an inviting warmth against the cool dark background. Low-profile seating in textured woven fabrics, whether warm oatmeal, camel, or charcoal grey, keeps the room cohesive without competing with the panel structure. For lighting and decorative details, brushed brass, bronze, or blackened metal fixtures tie directly into the architectural feel of the parchment grid.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper itself is defined by a nuanced palette of deep charcoal, slate grey, and soft black. When selecting paint and finishes for surrounding walls, woodwork, and ceilings, we suggest pairing it with soft warm whites, chalky greys, or rich taupe tones to maintain a sophisticated contrast. If you prefer a more enveloping, monochromatic look, deep espresso, rich olive, or dark forest green on adjacent trim and cabinetry will create a cohesive, moody interior.
