Wallpaper - Ginkgo Folia, Rain

Our Ginkgo Folia, Rain wallpaper brings together overlapping fan-shaped ginkgo leaves with delicate, radiating line work. Rendered in a soothing spectrum of slate blue, steel grey, and muted sky tones, the layered botanical pattern creates a continuous, scalloped rhythm across the wall. The gentle shift in tonal depth between foreground and background foliage gives the pattern subtle visual movement without becoming overpowering. Like all our wallpapers, this design is made-to-measure to fit your specific wall dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical structure.

In the room

Because the fan motifs repeat in an orderly, layered arrangement, this design works wonderfully across several walls as well as on a dedicated feature wall. In a bedroom, we see it creating an enveloping backdrop behind a headboard, where the cool slate tones lend a calm, collected atmosphere. It is equally suited to a living room, dining space, or a peaceful home office where you want pattern that feels decorative yet balanced. In rooms with ample natural daylight, the fine linear details within each leaf stand out crisply, while softer evening light pulls the deeper blue-grey shadows forward.

Styling it

We would pair this botanical design with warm wood finishes, such as natural oak or warm walnut, to balance the cool undertones of the slate blue palette. Matte ceramics and textured woven fabrics like bouclé or soft wool help ground the delicate line work of the motif. Clean-lined furniture keeps the room feeling uncluttered and lets the rhythmic pattern remain the main focus of the space.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper is built around a refined palette of muted slate blue, steel, soft denim, and charcoal outlines. When selecting paint colours and accents for the rest of the room, crisp off-white or soft warm grey creates a clean, classic framing on adjacent walls and woodwork. For a bolder, more cocooning scheme, you could pull out the deeper navy and charcoal tones for doors, trim, or upholstered pieces. Warm ochre or muted rust accents can also provide an inviting touch of contrast against the cool blue foundation.
