Wallpaper - Ginko Folly, Burnt Sienna

Our Ginko Folly wallpaper in Burnt Sienna brings an elegant botanical rhythm to the wall through a repeating fan of stylised ginkgo leaves. Designed by Wallism Studio, the pattern arranges overlapping leaf silhouettes into a geometric scallop formation, where fine radiating veins stand out in soft cream against a deep, earthy burnt sienna ground. The balance between Art Deco geometry and organic foliage gives the motif a structured yet graceful character that works across both classic and modern interiors. Like all our wallpapers, this design is custom made to measure and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface texture.

In the room

We see this design working particularly well in spaces where you want a sense of warmth and tailored pattern without overwhelming the room. In an entryway or hallway, the upward arch of the ginkgo leaves introduces an inviting vertical flow, drawing the eye along the wall. In a dining room or bedroom, the rich sienna palette creates an intimate, enveloping atmosphere, especially when used on a feature wall behind a bed or dining table. Because the geometric repeat is structured and even, it sits comfortably across larger uninterrupted surfaces as well as more compact nooks.

Styling it

To balance the graphic clarity of the scallop pattern, we would keep surrounding furnishings relatively clean in silhouette. Mid-century silhouettes or understated contemporary furniture in warm walnut or dark-stained wood echo the depth of the burnt sienna ground beautifully. For accent pieces, soft brushed brass or warm bronze hardware complements the warm undertones of the wallpaper, while matte ceramic pottery in stone or sand tones keeps the overall feel grounded and calm.

Colour combinations

The design centres on a rich burnt sienna brown paired with pale cream and biscuit line work. When choosing paint colours for adjoining walls and trim, warm neutrals such as soft linen, oatmeal, and muted sand create a seamless and calm transition. If you prefer a richer, more cocooning palette, deep terracotta, warm chocolate, or dark caramel tones on adjacent surfaces or woodwork will amplify the natural depth of the wallpaper.
